Service and Learning: Outdoor Gathering at Breithaupt Park (11AM-1PM)
Following the success of our outdoor gatherings in 2025 and this past month’s gathering at Kiwanis Park, our Peace in Action Team are embracing this summer tradition by hosting another outdoor gathering in August.
A reminder that Breithaupt has a splash pad and playground for the kids and young-at-heart adults. Water balloons will also make an appearance!
Where & When:
- Breithaupt Park, Kitchener
- Meet at 11AM, with the picnic set to begin around 12PM.
- For those needing a ride: Please sign up here to request one!
- We’ll gather in one of the shady areas near the playground and splash pad as a central meeting point—with space to relax, connect, and enjoy the nearby playground.
- Those who wish can also join a walk on the nearby paths and trails.
What to Bring (Optional):
- Chairs or blanket for the grass
- Outdoor games
- Walking shoes for those who want to hike and explore the trail
- Swimsuits/towels for the splash pad
- Your own water bottle
- Picnic lunch for yourself/your family if you plan to stay for lunch
- A snack to put out on the table to share if you’d like (nut free please)
Note:
- Sign-up is not required, only if you need a ride from Elevation to the Park.
- Admission to the park is free.
