Welcome to Elevation

We like to say Elevation is a place for the spiritually curious. If that’s you, you’ll fit right in.
Elevation is a young, vibrant church where students, families, and people of all ages gather to celebrate God and the journey of life.

Keep up to date with what’s happening at Elevation, both in-person as well as virtually.

Transition to In-Person Worship Gatherings

As Elevation begins to offer an option for in-person worship this month, we want to communicate and hear again from our community.

Holy Week

Dig deeper into what Elevation is hosting for Holy Week, starting from Palm Sunday (April 10th) and ending with Easter Sunday (April 17th).

The Season of Lent

The first Sunday of Lent is on March 6.  This year, our preachers will be drawing themes from the Revised Common Lectionary.  As we (hopefully) emerge from pandemic life in the coming months, we want to join with others around the world who are also reading through the Lectionary while making the same journey.  We’ll invite you to read along during the week, as you prepare your heart and mind for Sunday worship.  You could even get started now!

First Elevation Gathering of 2022

On January 2nd, all are invited to join together for either an outdoor walk through the woods, or a ZOOM call for a time of interaction and reflection.

We will be watching the weather, as well as regional guidelines around COVID restrictions for gathering, and if our outdoor walk is not possible, we will all shift over to the ZOOM call option.

We’re looking forward to this meaningful time together – either outdoors or online!

Christmas Eve Service

If you were not able to join us live (online) for our Christmas Eve service, you are still welcome to visit our YouTube channel to view the event there.

In-Person Sunday Service

COVID News and Updates

As Elevation begins to offer an option for in-person worship this month, we have put together a plan that will allow for a gradual phasing-in of our in-person gatherings and a gradual phasing-out of Sunday morning virtual gatherings.

The in-person service starts at 9am at 22 Willow Street, Waterloo.

In our second week of locating ourselves in this season of change, join Steve as we turn to the story in Exodus 16 of longing for Egypt. We'll be exploring the purgative way, recognizing that this season is both gift and grief, and asking reflective questions of what...

Transition can be difficult and disorienting. In this early part of our journey ahead, we'll be taking a few weeks in the middle chapters of Exodus to locate ourselves in this season of change. Join us as we begin with an invitation to cross over with us, trusting God...

Online sunday service

Virtual Community

Over the months of March and April, we have walked through a transition away from our Sunday morning online services on YouTube as we have known them over the past two years, and towards in-person services at 22 Willow. While most of our community members are ready for this transition, we do recognize that there are members of our community who will be impacted by the ending of our Sunday morning virtual services. “Church at its simplest and most obvious is a protected place, an available time for God to have conversation with us and for us to have conversation with God in company of God’s people.”
