As we continue to walk this season of transition as a community, we are approaching this Advent season recognizing that this invitation to the posture of waiting, wondering, and expectation may resonate even more deeply with where we are and the feelings we’re holding. And as we have been reflecting on the questions of who we are and where we are going, this Advent season feels like a meaningful opportunity to explore what it might look like to embody the four themes of Advent in some intentional (and perhaps different) ways. For the four weeks of Advent we will be creating space during the time that we would typically gather for our Sunday morning services to explore and embody the themes of love, joy, peace and hope together as a community.

Here is what our Sunday gatherings through Advent will look like:

Advent Reader

Welcome to Elevation’s 2022 advent reader that accompanies our Advent Embodied focus.

What is an advent reader? It is simply a way to read through scripture for a particular season as a community. This advent reader will begin on Sunday November 27 (the first Sunday of advent) and run through to Christmas Eve (the last day in the season of advent).
